Your new companyHays are one of the largest education agencies in the Wirral area. We work exclusively with over 65% of schools in the area , they use Hays supply service for Cover Supervisors and Teaching Assistants very heavily.We currently have a number of Teaching Assistant opportunities within Key Stage 2. These opportunities are in several primary schools across Wirral area in places such as Birkenhead, Bromborough, Hoylake, Heswall & Wallasey.There are both full-time and part-time opportunities available.Your new role

  • Support the class teacher in the classroom, prepare resources and teaching materials and ensure that the children in the class have access to the curriculum.
  • Supporting pupils with special needs, preparing individual resources for pupil's who need them.
  • Working closely with the class teacher, planning lessons and activities and assessing progress.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Have a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or Education related degree
  • Have at least three months experience working with children in an education setting, particularly with the KS2 age range.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Hold GCSE Maths and English Grade C or above
  • Sound knowledge of KS2 Curriculum
