Teaching Assistant - SEND School (Wirral)

Location: Wirral, MerseysideStart Date: ASAP

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)? Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a warm and welcoming SEND school on the Wirral.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting children with a range of SEND, including autism, speech and language difficulties, and complex needs.
  • Assisting teachers in delivering engaging lessons tailored to individual needs.
  • Promoting a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
  • Providing one-to-one or small group support as required.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children with SEND (voluntary or paid) - Preferred
  • A positive, patient, and proactive attitude.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
