Your new companyHays are one of the largest education agencies in the Wirral area. We work exclusively with over 65% of schools in the area, they use Hays supply service for Cover Supervisors and Teaching Assistants very heavily.Your new roleA school in the Wirral area requires a Year 3 SEND Teaching Assistant. Duties will include:
- Supporting a pupil in Year 3 with SEND needs on a 1:1 basis
- The majority of your time will be spent working on a one-to-one basis.
- Support the class teacher in the classroom, prepare resources and teaching materials and ensure that the children in the class have access to the curriculum.
- Work closely with the classroom teacher to report on pupil progress
What you'll need to succeed
- Have at least six months experience working with children in an education setting, particularly with the KS2 age range
- Excellent communication skills
- Sound knowledge of KS2 Curriculum
- Managing challenging behaviour is essential for this role.
