Finance Manager | Growing HealthTech Business | Wirral (Office Based)

A fast-growing technology company based on the Wirral is looking for a proactive Finance Manager to take full ownership of day-to-day finance operations, working closely alongside a fractional CFO.

This established healthtech business develops innovative software that supports NHS trusts across the UK-improving efficiency and patient safety. With a strong client base, £2m turnover, and exciting growth plans, they're now looking for a hands-on finance professional to help drive the next phase of their journey.

This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a broad finance role at the heart of an ambitious, mission-led tech company. You'll have real ownership and the chance to grow as the business scales.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Directors and supported by a fractional CFO, you'll manage all aspects of the finance function-keeping things running day to day, while also supporting strategic planning and growth.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Handling core finance operations: payment runs, invoicing, VAT returns, and credit control

  • Producing monthly management accounts and maintaining accurate records

  • Liaising with customers and suppliers to ensure smooth communication and cashflow

  • Managing bookkeeping and ensuring financial compliance

  • Supporting the CFO with financial reporting and analysis

  • Problem-solving and continuously improving finance processes

  • Assisting with international customers and preparing the business for scale

What We're Looking For
  • Experience in a similar finance role-ideally within a tech, healthcare, or SME setting

  • Solid understanding of core finance operations and month-end reporting

  • Confident using Xero (or similar accounting platforms) and Excel

  • Proactive, solutions-focused, and comfortable working autonomously

  • Qualified, part-qualified, or QBE all considered

  • Someone who thrives in a close-knit team and enjoys taking ownership

Salary & Benefits
  • Salary: £35,000 - £50,000 FTE DOE (open to part-time, ideally 4 days/week)

  • Holiday: 22 days + bank holidays + your birthday off

  • Location: Office-based role (Wirral HQ)
