A 'good' primary school based on the Wirral has a Year 5 class teaching job starting January 2025.

This is a full-time role and will be paid via Hays timesheets from January - April, with a view to it moving onto a permanent contract from that point. Applications are welcome from ECT - experienced primary teachers.

Your new role

Hays Education Wirral are supporting the head teacher of a one-form entry primary school with the recruitment of a Year 5 class teacher.

As the Year 5 class teacher, you will be responsible for:

  • leading all teaching, learning and assessment for your class with the help of 1 full-time teaching assistant
  • closely following school policies, including the behaviour policy to ensure effective teaching and learning takes place
  • Working as part of the wider school team to promote the schools' core values and community feel


What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this Year 5 class primary teaching job you will need:

  • QTS
  • Excellent Numeracy and Literacy skills
  • Recent and relevant experience working within primary schools - Key Stage 2 would be an advantage - that we can reference
  • The confidence to plan and deliver your own lessons that meet the Year 5 curriculum standards
