Are you a skilled Assembly Fitter looking for a new opportunity? Our client, a leading organisation in the manufacturing industry, is seeking talented individuals like you to join their team. As an Assembly Fitter, you will work within a dedicated team, both independently and collaboratively, to ensure that production deadlines are met.

Key Duties & Tasks:

  • Perform assembly tasks within your area of expertise, demonstrating flexibility to work in different areas and accept varying shift patterns.
  • Undertake necessary training to expand your skills and train other team members.
  • Overhaul, repair, assemble, and test a variety of equipment, including callipers, actuators, discs, and more.
  • Build test installations according to specifications and interpret results, adjusting units as necessary.
  • Investigate and diagnose any faults or issues, notifying appropriate personnel and taking corrective actions whenever possible.
  • Operate monitoring, measuring, and diagnostic equipment to ensure quality requirements are met.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and utilise tools like 5S to enhance efficiency and workplace layout.
  • Comply with company and statutory quality, health & safety, environmental, and personnel policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Mechanical Fitter with a HNC qualification.
  • GCSE standard numeracy and literacy.
  • Solid understanding of UK Health & Safety requirements.
  • Experience in training others and delivering high-quality instruction.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and specifications.
  • Mechanical Engineering background, coupled with experience in manufacturing and overhaul processes.
  • IT literacy and familiarity with common engineering software.
  • Training qualification such as PTLLS (desirable).
  • Awareness of continuous improvement tools and an electrical bias (preferred).

Days: Monday to Friday

Pay: £15.02 then a slight increase after training
