Court of Protection Solicitor / Legal Executive I am working with a well-established client to find a dedicated Solicitor or Legal Executive to join their Court of Protection Deputyship Team. This is a great opportunity to work on meaningful cases and make a real difference in the lives of clients.About the Role As part of the Deputyship Team, you will:
  • Manage a variety of professional and lay deputyship caseloads from application through to administration.
  • Prepare and submit Court of Protection applications, including professional, lay, trustee, and interim/urgent applications.
  • Provide expert legal advice to union clients through a free legal advice service.
  • Collaborate with case managers, carers, clients, and their families to deliver tailored support.
What You’ll Need To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • A minimum of 1 years’ experience managing deputyship files, particularly involving brain injury cases.
  • Strong knowledge of the Court of Protection and relevant law.
  • Ability to run a caseload independently from the outset.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Competence in file management and the ability to meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • A proactive, team-oriented approach and a commitment to client care.
  • Ideally, a qualified Solicitor (NQ – 5 years PQE), though equivalent experience will also be considered.
