- Open Files: Manage the initial setup of case files.
- Provide Daily Assistance: Offer valuable support to senior fee earners on various tasks.
- Update Clients: Keep clients informed about the progress of their cases.
- Communicate Effectively: Engage with courts, experts, and agencies as required.
- Manage Appointments: Schedule and coordinate appointments.
- Handle Phone Communications: Receive and make phone calls.
- Prepare Legal Documents: Assemble bundles of documents for court hearings.
- Interact with Clients: Engage with clients in person and remotely when needed.
- Offer Administrative Support: Assist with general legal and administrative duties, including typing.
- Manage Diaries: Keep schedules and appointments organized.
- Support in Court: Attend court proceedings to assist counsel and clients.
- Assist with Legal Aid: Conduct legal aid assessments and assist in applications.
- Initial Client Appointments: Schedule and gather initial instructions from clients.
- Be a self-starter, driven by a desire to take on new challenges.
- Possess strong interpersonal skills, making them adept at interacting with people.
- Thrive in a collaborative team environment.
- Demonstrate flexibility in accommodating both client and team requirements.
- Exhibit excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise in a fast-paced setting.
- At least 12 months of prior experience in a family law team.
- Have experience with Case Management Systems and Laserforms (desirable).
- Be familiar with Excel spreadsheets (desirable).
- Be comfortable using the Legal Aid Agency CCMS portal.
