About the Company:

They are an independent lift installation, servicing and repair company based in Ormskirk, Lancashire specialising in lift maintenance, lift & elevator repairs, lift refurbishment and the installations of lifts.

Priding themselves in the quality of lift installation and maintenance services provided to all of their customers, providing their services 24hrs a day throughout the Northwest area.

Their works are delivered to their clients utilising their own directly employed engineers for which they now seek to add further engineers to their valued team to deliver.

About the Role:

The now require a further assistant to complement their existing team of directly employed lift engineers. The position is a permanent role, assisting with works on goods, passenger, service and platform lifts. We envisage the role as a path of progression into becoming a future lift engineer.

As a lift engineers assistant, you will be required to assist the lead engineer in their role to complete lift repairs and lift refurbishments across the Northwest region, for the companies own direct clients.

The role requires, but is not limited to:

  • Use and knowledge of hand and power tools
  • Working safely in accordance with health and safety including project RAMS
  • Taking instructions from the lead engineer and delivering works to a high standard
  • Transport for reporting to the place of work or the lead engineers home location

Candidate Requirements:

  • Prior lift engineering experience is an advantage as is a EOR202 qualification
  • Further progression and NVQ3 training qualifications available
  • 33 days annual leave inclusive of public bank holidays
  • Full and current UK driving license essential. Minimum age 25 for company vehicles
  • Company uniform and PPE provided
  • Company pension scheme
  • Immediate starts are available for the right candidate
  • Candidates must be authorised to work within the UK
  • Rate of pay is negotiable depending on qualifications attained and prior experience
