  • We are seeking a Maintenance Engineer for our client located on the Wirral.
  • The role involves assisting in the maintenance and repair of plant, machinery, and the facility, as well as conducting routine inspections and diagnosing machine breakdowns.
  • Candidates should possess basic electrical diagnostics, mechanical engineering, and welding/fabrication experience.
  • This position is fully site-based, with working hours from 6:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday.
  • The salary for this position is competitive, and candidates should have relevant experience in maintenance engineering.

We are currently recruiting a Maintenance Engineer for our client on the Wirral.

The main duties of the Maintenance Engineer are:-

  • To assist in the maintenance and repair of plant and machinery
  • To assist in the maintenance and repair of the facility if by, nature and design, this falls within the remit of the Maintenance Manager
  • To assist in carrying out routine inspections, condition reports indicating economical means of repair
  • To assist in diagnosing machine breakdowns
  • To assist in carrying out electrical, hydraulic or pneumatical repair work resulting from pro-active or reactive maintenance
  • To assist in carrying out gas burning and welding as necessary
  • To assist in liaising with machine manufacturer personnel in relation to the timely sourcing supply of parts, and equipment etc.
  • To assist in the co-ordination of repairs and ordering/ receiving parts etc.
  • To ensure the security of site as appropriate, to include maintaining workshops and storage in safe condition
  • To assist in completion of all documentation including worksheets and inspection sheets as appropriate
  • To assist in updating and maintaining accurate information on company IT maintenance systems
  • To assist in liaising with sub-contractors to carry out work outside the scope of your job description

The ideal applicant is a person who has basic electrical diagnostics experience, mechanical engineering experience and welding/fabrication experience.

This role is fully site based working 6.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday.
