Are you have an engineering background alongside operations experience?Do you have Chemical Manufacturing / Process Engineering / O&G experience?Have you worked across multiple site management before?COMPANYThe company is a global manufacturer and distributer of chemical products, any experience in petroleum or chemical processing is highly advantageous.ROLEThe role involves providing strong leadership to managers and staff, driving improvements, managing technical projects. The manager will also be responsible for the financial budget of the operations and maintaining active communication with internal and external stakeholders. This position reports to the Operations Director.We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced UK Operations Manager to oversee the North West Special Product Plant and the Scottish depot. The successful candidate will ensure that operations are conducted to a high safety standard, are environmentally compliant, and are efficient, while meeting company operational targets.The role has two direct reports, one from each site and in total slightly above 20 employees within the role's responsibility. The role reports to the Operations Director in ScandinaviaThe role is based at the Wirral site but frequent visits to Dundee will be necessary. Some international travel mainly to Scandinavia will also be required but infrequentKey Responsibilities:• Provide strong leadership to managers and staff, driving improvements and fostering the development of both sites and employees.• Manage the financial budget of the operations and maintain active communication with internal and external stakeholders.• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards.• Oversee audits, legal compliance, risk assessments, and energy contracts for Dundee.• Handle incident reporting and investigations and maintain and update site permits.• Support the development and oversee the implementation of any UK investment projects.QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS• Proven experience in operations management, preferably from the chemical industry.• Ability to manage budgets and financial performance.• Experience of investment projects and managing those• Knowledge of safety, environmental, and operational standards.• NEBOSH certification
  • Degree in Engineering / Engineering background essential
