A fantastic Pupil Referral Unit in the Wirral area (CH49) is looking for a qualified SEND teacher to join their team. The school supports pupils ages 8-16 with SEMH and Challenging Behaviour. The post requires an experienced SEND Teacher who is able to work as part of a team, deliver an engaging curriculum and who is child centred in their approach.
The school is offering a long term contract and the successful candidate will enjoy support and guidance from a very friendly team, who work together and aim towards the best possible educational experience for their students.
The post is for 5 days per week with an immediate start. The post is very rewarding and is ideal for SEND teachers who have experience and are looking to take their next step, or for teachers who are keen to teach within this setting.
Main Duties will Include
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons
- Differentiated planning to meet a variety of needs
- Cross-curriculum planning with other departments
- Supporting Pupils through their day-to-day school life
- Attend weekly department meetings to help drive forward the school’s attainment levels
- Liase with the school’s SENCO and Senior Leadership Team to support all pupil’s progress
To be considered for this position, the ideal candidate will have:
- Qualified Teacher Status – ECT applications are welcome
- Confidence teaching both KS2, KS3 and KS4 curriculum
- Strong behaviour management strategies
- Is passionate about working with young people to ensure they make progress.
- A calm, patient, and caring persona
