Your new companyHays Education Wirral is a market leading recruitment agency supporting primary schools across Wirral LA. We are currently working with a Wirral-based Primary School to recruit a part-time primary teacher to cover PPA in classes from Year 1 - Year 6. This role will start asap and run for the remainder of the academic year.Your new roleThis PPA primary teaching job involves working Tuesday - Friday every week during term time. On those days, you will be responsible for planning and delivering sessions across Key Stage 1 & 2. Liaising with the class teachers, you will take responsibility for a particular topic within the national curriculum to deliver during your sessions. The topic you are responsible for will change on a half-term basis.Your own PPA time is provided within the 4 days.What you'll need to succeedTo be successful in securing this primary PPA teaching job you will:

  • Hold QTS
  • Have a flexible teaching style and be happy to adapt to working with different age ranges throughout the school day
  • Be able to plan and deliver your own sessions after discussion with the wider teaching team
  • Have strong Literacy and Numeracy skills
