- Two-Shift Pattern: 06:00 - 13:30 / 13:30 - 21:00 (rotating weekly)
Hours: Full-time, 36.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Pay Rate: 13 - 18 per hour (depending on experience)
Job Description:
We are looking for experienced Lithographic Printers to join our team in Birkenhead. The ideal candidates will have a proven background in lithographic printing, with a strong focus on high-quality production and efficiency. This role involves setting up, operating, and maintaining printing presses to produce superior print products while maintaining a strong emphasis on safety and quality control.
Key Responsibilities:
- Press Operation: Operate and maintain lithographic printing presses in line with company procedures and safety guidelines.
- Setup and Calibration: Set up printing jobs, including adjusting settings, loading materials, and calibrating the equipment for optimal performance.
- Quality Control: Monitor print quality during production runs and make necessary adjustments to ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality standards.
- Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Resolve minor equipment issues to minimize downtime. Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning rollers, changing ink cartridges, and lubricating machinery.
- Production Management: Follow production schedules, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members, including machine assistants and supervisors, to enhance workflow and ensure smooth operations.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
- Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of production, job specifications, material usage, and downtime for reporting purposes.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement, efficiency gains, and waste reduction.
Requirements:
- Experience: Proven experience operating lithographic printing presses is essential.
- Technical Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities.
