Your new companyHays Education work with over 65% of Wirral primary schools and is the only agency with two dedicated consultants servicing the Wirral area, due to the high demand for cover teachers from our schools.

We are currently experiencing high demand on a daily basis from all our schools across the Wirral, to provide last-minute and advance-booked KS2 supply teaching cover; including schools in Wallasey, Birkenhead, Bebington, Bromborough, Eastham, Moreton, Hoylake, Heswall, and West Kirby.

Your new roleWe are looking for experienced and flexible KS2 teachers to join our Wirral supply teaching pool as soon as possible. You will be working in various schools across the Wirral, covering a range of KS2 classes, and may also have the opportunity of providing PPA cover, intervention and booster-based work. Work available will include daily and short-term cover assignments, as well as longer-term positions, and may be full or part-time, depending on your availability.

You will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons that meet the needs of all pupils and the school's expectations, and may be required to plan and assess work depending on the role. You will be required to manage your classroom and behaviour effectively, and follow any appropriate school policies.

You will also be expected to follow the school's safeguarding procedures, and maintain a positive and respectful attitude at all times.

What you'll need to succeedTo be eligible for Wirral KS2 supply teaching work you must have:

  • A recognised teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent)
  • A valid DBS check (or be willing to apply for one)
  • A minimum of 6 months of UK teaching experience in the last 2 years in KS2 classes
  • A flexible and adaptable approach to teaching
  • A strong knowledge of the primary curriculum and assessment frameworks
  • Proven and effective behaviour management skills
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Reliability, dedication and professionalism at all times
