Your new companyA primary school based in Birkenhead are looking for a Year 1 teacher starting asap. This role is full time and will run until July 2025.It's managed by Hays Education Wirral. If you are a Primary teacher based on the Wirral, and looking for local work then we will be in the best position to support you with finding the right role for you.Your new roleYou will be responsible for the Year 1 class in this one form entry primary school. The school are looking for a dedicated teacher who understands the transition from Rec - Key Stage 1 and has the patience to support children through this. You will have experience working with mixed ability groups and supporting students with SEND and a TA team within the class.You will work with school policies and processes, and have responsibility for all planning, teaching and assessment within the class.What you'll need to succeedTo be successful in securing this Year 1 class teaching job, you will:

  • Have QTS
  • Have experience of working in a primary school, ideally across EY - KS1, within the last 2 years that we can reference
  • Be confident in planning and leading engaging sessions that encourage the emotional and academic development of the children in your care
  • Be happy to support the wider school community and promote the school's ethos
