Description
As a Finance Assistant, you'll be integral to the smooth running of the company's financial operations. Reporting to the Finance Director, your responsibilities will include:
- Processing payroll, CIS subcontractor invoices, and supplier payments.
- Managing sales and purchase ledgers, bank reconciliations, and VAT compliance.
- Reconciling supplier statements and ensuring accurate financial records.
- Handling debtor control and fostering strong relationships with customers and suppliers.
- Supporting energy usage tracking, fleet vehicle management, and ad hoc financial tasks.
Profile
A successful Finance Assistant should have:
- Qualifications: A-levels (or equivalent) in accounting/business studies. AAT qualified or working towards it (essential).
- Experience: Payroll processing experience is essential; Xero and CIS knowledge are advantageous but not mandatory.
- Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams), exceptional organizational skills, and attention to detail.
