About the Role:We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic full-time Geography Teacher to cover a maternity leave at a high school in Birkenhead. This role will involve teaching KS3 and KS4 students, with the possibility of an extension to the contract for up to 12 months, depending on the school's needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging lessons in Geography to students at KS3 and KS4 level.
- Develop and implement appropriate lesson plans in line with the school’s curriculum.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain a positive classroom environment that promotes learning and development.
- Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to the school community.
- Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development opportunities as required.
Key Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching Geography at KS3 & KS4 level.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Geography.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Availability to start in April 2024 for the duration of the maternity cover.
