About The RoleWe have a vacancy for a Security Officer to join our team. You will be responsible for protecting the security and safety of the identified buildings and personnel at a busy client site. You will ensure that assigned tasks are completed in a professional and timely manner and meet relevant legislations.

You will be working Monday to Friday between 06:30 to 20:30, 35 hours per week.

Your main responsibilities may also include:

  • You will be providing an efficient and effective security service, ensuring high standards are delivered and maintained across the site.
  • Managing the access of the site, and completing logs where required.
  • Regular site patrols, check calls and reporting of incidents.
  • You will have a high standard of professionalism and be extremely security-conscious.
  • Ensure the safety and security of the premises during the assigned shifts.
  • Respond promptly to security incidents and emergencies.
  • To ensure the delivery of consistently high standards of customer service.
  • To promote and uphold the principles of security in accordance with the policies and directives.
  • To maintain logs of messages and the arrival of visitors.
  • To adhere to the company's dress code and wear the correct uniform.
  • To fulfil health and safety responsibilities by adhering to the requirements of the company's health and safety policy and health and safety management plans.
  • To comply with the company's policies, management plans and procedures.
  • Occasional weekend work but usually Mon - Fri 06:30-13:30, 13:30-20:30, week about.

To succeed in this role you will need the following:

  • Experience of working within the Security Industry is an advantage
  • SIA licence is essential
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • A professional demeanour with sound judgement and integrity
