We require an Adult Social Work Team Manager at Wirral Council, for a review project.

The ideal candidate must have:-

  • Team management experience, and experience in supervising Social Work staff.
  • Sound knowledge of the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act, Safeguarding and Continuing Health Care.
  • Desirable to have knowledge of the 3 conversation model - The aim of the role is to manage a team of five agency social workers.

The role is to ensure the five Social Workers undertake reviews in care homes and in a person's own home in a timely manner.

The role will require the Manager to allocate the work, monitor throughput, quality assure the assessments.

As required, ensure continuing health care checklists are implemented.

  • DIPSW or equivalent qualification in Social Work
  • Social Work England registration
  • Enhanced and in date DBS certificate.
  • Excellent communication skills and be able to make good decisions based on information available.
  • Can work alone and within/contribute to a team/multi-agency set ups
  • Possess knowledge of service needs.
  • Competent IT skills and be able to navigate electronic file/recording systems.
  • Can write clear, concise, and robust assessment/reports/files.
  • Have a flexible approach to work and working hours when the need arises
