Key Responsibilities:

  • EHCP Management: Oversee the development and implementation of Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs) for children and young people
  • Assessment Coordination: Collaborate with families, schools, and other stakeholders to assess and review individual needs
  • Case Management: Maintain accurate records and ensure timely updates for each case
  • Compliance Monitoring: Ensure all EHCPs are in compliance with legal and statutory requirements
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a point of contact for parents, carers, and educational professionals, providing support and guidance throughout the EHCP process.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience: Proven experience in coordinating EHCPs within a local authority or similar setting
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) and the EHCP process
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Organizational Skills: Highly organized with a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously
  • Empathy: A compassionate approach, with a genuine desire to improve educational outcomes for children and young people.
