Overview:

Wirral Council is seeking a highly skilled Adult Agency Team Manager to lead a specialised review project. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of five agency social workers, ensuring that reviews in care homes and individual homes are conducted efficiently and to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Management: Oversee and manage a team of five agency social workers, providing leadership, guidance, and support to ensure the successful completion of the review project.
  • Work Allocation: Allocate tasks and manage the workload within the team, ensuring that all reviews are carried out in a timely and effective manner.
  • Monitoring & Reporting: Monitor the throughput of work, ensuring that performance targets are met. Report on progress and any issues that arise.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct quality assurance on all assessments completed by the social work team, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and best practices.
  • Implementation of Checklists: Ensure that Continuing Health Care (CHC) checklists are implemented as required, facilitating the assessment and review processes.
  • Compliance & Safeguarding: Ensure that all work adheres to the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act, Safeguarding procedures, and Continuing Health Care guidelines.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

  • Team Management: Proven experience in managing and supervising social work staff within an adult social care setting.
  • Legislation Knowledge: Strong understanding of the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act, Safeguarding practices, and Continuing Health Care procedures.
  • Social Work Supervision: Experience in supervising social workers and overseeing their professional development and workload management.
  • Enhanced DBS
  • SWE Registration
  • Social Work Degree or Equivalent

Desirable:

  • 3 Conversation Model: Familiarity with the 3 Conversation Model, particularly in the context of adult social care and review processes.
