About the Role:We are seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher to join our dynamic team in a welcoming and supportive school in The Wirral. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced teacher to work with a range of students with diverse learning needs, helping them to achieve their full potential. You will play a key role in providing high-quality, tailored education that fosters a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective lessons to students with Special Educational Needs.
- Adapt teaching methods and resources to suit individual learning needs.
- Work closely with other teachers, support staff, and parents to create tailored learning plans.
- Monitor and assess students’ progress, providing regular feedback to ensure development.
- Foster an inclusive, supportive, and caring classroom environment.
- Ensure that all students feel valued and respected, promoting their social, emotional, and academic growth.
- Collaborate with external agencies and specialists as needed to support students' development.
Essential Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), dyslexia, and other learning disabilities.
- A strong understanding of the strategies and techniques to support diverse learning needs.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach to teaching.
- A commitment to continuous professional development.
Desirable:
- SENCO qualification (or working towards).
- Experience with specialised SEN programs or interventions.
