About the Role:We are seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher to join our dynamic team in a welcoming and supportive school in The Wirral. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced teacher to work with a range of students with diverse learning needs, helping them to achieve their full potential. You will play a key role in providing high-quality, tailored education that fosters a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons to students with Special Educational Needs.
  • Adapt teaching methods and resources to suit individual learning needs.
  • Work closely with other teachers, support staff, and parents to create tailored learning plans.
  • Monitor and assess students’ progress, providing regular feedback to ensure development.
  • Foster an inclusive, supportive, and caring classroom environment.
  • Ensure that all students feel valued and respected, promoting their social, emotional, and academic growth.
  • Collaborate with external agencies and specialists as needed to support students' development.

Essential Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), dyslexia, and other learning disabilities.
  • A strong understanding of the strategies and techniques to support diverse learning needs.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach to teaching.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development.

Desirable:

  • SENCO qualification (or working towards).
  • Experience with specialised SEN programs or interventions.
