Demand Planning Manager

Salary: £50,000 to c.£60,000 (DOE) + Benefits

We’re looking for a Demand Planning Manager to lead forecasting and demand planning for a leading food manufacturer in the northwest. You’ll be working with data, trends, and cross-functional teams to create robust plans that balances commercial needs with supply chain efficiency.
About the Role:
You’ll be a key part of the supply-chain team and the ‘go-to’ person for all things related to demand planning, working to ensure forecasts are accurate and aligned with business needs. Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Developing short, medium and long-term demand plans, utilising data and your experience to keep things on track
- Monitoring trends, promotions, new products, and delists, and adjusting forecasts accordingly.
- Leading S&OP meetings, collaborating with teams from sales, marketing, and finance to create a clear plan.
- Communicating critical changes to supply chain teams to keep everything running smoothly.
- Identifying ways to improve forecasting processes and introducing new tools to make them even better.
About You:
We’re looking for somebody who is data-focused, with a proactive approach to problem solving, who knows how to work with people to get the best results. Ideally, you’ll have the following skills and experience:
- 3-5 years’ experience in demand planning gained in a Food, Drink, or FMCG environment.
- Working closely with major retail customers.
- Strong analytical skills and advanced Excel knowledge.
- Great communication skills – you’ll be presenting data and working with different teams at all levels.
- A proactive mindset with a drive to improve processes and make a real impact.
