Manual Machine Operator - Precision Engineering Role

Hours: Mon-Thurs 08:00 - 16:30, Fri 08:00 - 13:00
Rate: 14.19 Per Hour

  • Manual Turning Lathes
  • Manual Milling Machines
  • Fly Presses
  • Pillar Drills
  • Band Saws
  • Chop Saws

Role Responsibilities:
  • Set up, operate, and maintain manual turning lathes, milling machines, and fly presses with precision.
  • Work with detailed engineering drawings to produce high-quality components.
  • Handle general machine shop duties including pillar drilling, band saw, and chop saw operations.
  • Perform regular safety checks on equipment and ensure the machine shop is properly maintained.
  • Collaborate with Engineers and Supervisors to ensure machines are serviced and repaired promptly.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all tools are returned to their correct place after use.
Requirements:
  • Time-served with a relevant engineering qualification.
  • Extensive experience working with manual lathes and milling machines.
  • Previous experience in a machine shop environment with strong hands-on technical skills.
