Our client is a Merseyside and Wirral based law firm with 6 offices across the area specialising in many areas of law.They now have an opportunity for a self-starter with excellent client care skills to join their Family law team in Prescot.The role involves assisting senior Fee Earners with a high-volume caseload, primarily focused on Care work, within a large and dynamic team.Responsibilities include:
  • Opening case files
  • Providing day-to-day support to the team
  • Updating clients on case progress
  • Liaising with courts, experts, and agencies
  • Scheduling appointments
  • Handling incoming and outgoing calls
  • Preparing document bundles for hearings
  • Engaging with clients both in person and remotely when required
  • Providing general legal and administrative support
  • Managing diaries
  • Attending court to assist counsel and/or clients
  • Conducting legal aid assessments and applications
  • Taking client appointments and initial instructions
The Ideal Candidate will:
  • Work effectively within a vibrant team environment
  • Be flexible and adaptable to meet client and team needs
  • Have excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise heavy workloads
  • Have a minimum of 12 months' experience working in a family law team (preferred)
  • Be proficient in using Case Management Systems and Laserforms (essential)
  • Have experience with the Legal Aid Agency Portal (CCMS) (essential)
  • Be familiar with Excel spreadsheets (desirable)
