- Opening case files
- Providing day-to-day support to the team
- Updating clients on case progress
- Liaising with courts, experts, and agencies
- Scheduling appointments
- Handling incoming and outgoing calls
- Preparing document bundles for hearings
- Engaging with clients both in person and remotely when required
- Providing general legal and administrative support
- Managing diaries
- Attending court to assist counsel and/or clients
- Conducting legal aid assessments and applications
- Taking client appointments and initial instructions
- Work effectively within a vibrant team environment
- Be flexible and adaptable to meet client and team needs
- Have excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise heavy workloads
- Have a minimum of 12 months' experience working in a family law team (preferred)
- Be proficient in using Case Management Systems and Laserforms (essential)
- Have experience with the Legal Aid Agency Portal (CCMS) (essential)
- Be familiar with Excel spreadsheets (desirable)
