CNC Machinist Job Overview
My client is a continuously growing sub-contract manufacturer of precision-engineered machined components. They are based in Knowsley, Merseyside and have become a major manufacturer of machine components for companies both in the UK and worldwide supplying numerous large blue chip companies.
They are currently looking to recruit an experienced CNC Programmer/ Setter due to company expansion to join their night shift team running a Mazak CNC machine.
CNC Machinist Job Requirements
- Live in a commutable location from Knowsley, Merseyside
- Mazak programming and setting is essential for this role
- Happy and willing to work night shift
- Must be able to machine high precision parts with tight tolerances.
- Must be Able to self-inspect machine parts ensuring adherence to drawing specifications.
- Will have the ability to read, understand and interpret engineering drawings.
- Expertise of using Fanuc/Siemens controls is required
- Hermle experience would be an added bonus
- Ideally will have worked within a busy manufacturing facility plant.
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Must be able to work individually and unsupervised to achieve relevant targets.
- Computer Literate including a good command of Microsoft Excel, Word and outlook beneficial.
CNC Machinist Salary & Benefits
- Monday to Thursday 21.15pm- 06.45am
- Overtime available
- Pay £16-£20 per hour depending on experience
- 1/3 for shift allowance on top of hourly salary
