What You’ll Be Doing:Join our team as a Wheelchair Technician Instructor and play a key role in ensuring the safety, functionality and comfort of patients using NHS wheelchairs. In this role, you will:
• Carry out quality control checks and repairs on manual and powered wheelchairs• Work independently while being part of the wider wheelchair repair service• Supervise and support staff within the maintenance team• Provide on-site service across various environments including homes, schools and hospitals• Deliver a high standard of technical repair and patient care
Requirements & Qualifications:To be successful in this role, you will need:
• Relevant experience in wheelchair maintenance (manual and powered)• Strong technical, mechanical or electrical repair skills• The ability to work independently and manage a small team• A professional and caring approach when working in patient-focused environments• A full UK driving licence (desirable for home/school visits)
Working Hours & Contract Duration:This is a short-term locum contract running from 14th April to 9th May 2025, with working days from Monday to Friday. There may be potential for extension depending on service needs.
