TUV Functional Safety Engineer Contract Outside IR35 Hybrid Working North West UK

£55hr for remote/£72hr for site work (inclusive of expenses) - 4-6 month contract - Immediate Start

Samuel Frank is recruiting a TUV Functional Safety Engineer to work on a hybrid basis to ideally start in January (can wait until the beginning of February) on a prototype/research focused manufacturing set up.

Key aspects of the TUV Functional Safety Engineer role include

  • Requirement to be TUV certified
  • Responsible for safety system overall design and delivery
  • To attend HAZOPS
  • Participate in SIL assessments
  • Produce Safety Requirement Specification
  • Produce IEC61508/61511 Functional Safety Management Lifecycle documentation including specifications, safety configuration reports, audit report, test plan and test cases
  • Software configuration based on Siemens PCS7 nice to have, not essential
  • Role will initially be mainly home based, some weeks may require 1-2 days on site in the North West, when commissioning starts theyll be more of a requirement to be in the North West on site
  • 40 hours per week when working on site, the hours are flexible in terms of early start/early finish (depending on timings of pre-arranged meetings)

The site in the North West is easily commutable from the following places Manchester, Liverpool, Warrington, Widnes, St Helens, Runcorn, Wigan, Bolton, Stockport.
