We are seeking a one-to-one Teaching Assistant (TA) to support a child with a hearing impairment in a specialist school setting.
The position is available immediately and is intended to be a long-term commitment.
Candidates should be trained in British Sign Language (BSL) and have a strong empathetic and enthusiastic approach.
The role involves assisting the pupil's learning in collaboration with the class teacher and facilitating their participation in school activities.
Salary details are not specified, but candidates should ideally have experience working with children with similar needs.

We are looking to appoint a one-to-one Teaching Assistant (TA) to support a child who has a hearing impairment (HI), to start as soon as possible, working in a specialist school setting.

We are looking for someone trained in British Sign Language (BSL).

Ideally you will be committed long term as this is a long-term position, and have a very empathetic and enthusiastic approach.

The role will involve supporting the pupil’s learning as agreed with the class teacher, communicating in Sign Supported English and supporting the pupil’s participation in school life, and using praise encouragement and support to help the pupil engage in learning.
