The Role

As Procurement Assistant, you will:

  • Provide support to internal operational procurement staff and Members within Fusion21's procurement service offering.

  • Assist in delivering procurement services, undertaking discrete tasks within the procurement process under the guidance of senior colleagues.

  • Support a range of procurement projects, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.

  • Maintain accurate procurement data and IT systems.

  • Foster strong working relationships with Members and Suppliers to support operational needs.

  • Ensure high levels of customer service and effective communication with stakeholders.

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of procurement frameworks and processes.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths (Grade C or 4 and above).

  • A strong interest in procurement and/or the built environment.

  • An understanding of public sector procurement processes and regulations.

  • Experience in undertaking procurement-related tasks (desirable but not essential).

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

  • The ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

  • A proactive and motivated approach to work.

Desirable:

  • CIPS Level 4 Diploma in Procurement and Supply.

  • Experience using e-procurement portals (e.g., Delta e-Sourcing) and CRM systems.

  • Knowledge of the built environment and the lifecycle of buildings.
