Estimator/Quantity Surveyor Role Overview

A great opportunity for an Estimator to join our clients growing team. As the Estimator you will play a crucial role in supporting their project management and commercial team. You will be responsible for assisting in the planning and monitoring of various projects. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills and grow within the company.

Estimator/Quantity Surveyor Responsibilities:

  • Diary management & administrative support for Project Manager
  • Project Coordination - Organise, manage and file documents in conjunction with project and corporate naming and numbering procedure for commercial team.
  • Track project timelines, ensuring all deadlines are met. E.g. drawings / specifications from customers to assist commercial department.
  • Assisting with producing project-related documentation and work packs ready for site teams. Including producing health & safety Risk Assessment and Method Statements (RAMs) Training Available
  • Proactive management of incoming emails, often corresponding on behalf of the managers as required.
  • Helping with stores and equipment inventory management.
  • Customer service tasks – tracking and updating sales and order progress
  • Liaise with shopfloor Ie sending out packages/materials
  • Assist the commercial team with preparing samples and chasing approvals

Estimator/Quantity Surveyor Experience Required

  • Previous experience working as an Estimator within the construction/manufacturing industry
  • Computer literate and competent in the use of Microsoft Office 365 suite
  • Ambitious, professional, honest, and hard-working
  • Strength of character, self-motivated and the ability to work under pressure both independently and as a team
