Accounts Assistant
• Annual Salary: £23,500 - £26,000• Location: St Asaph, North Wales• Job Type: Full-time, Office-based
Join one of the leading construction companies in Wales and the North West as an Accounts Assistant. This role is integral to our Finance team, focusing on processing supplier payments and managing all accounts administrative duties. We are looking for a bright and enthusiastic individual with a keen eye for detail and experience in Accounts Administration.
Day-to-day of the role:• Answer telephone inquiries and handle accounts queries.• Set up new suppliers and subcontractors on the system, liaising with Quantity Surveyors on CIS statuses.• Process supplier invoices and provide feedback on any issues to buyers.• Manage supplier delivery notes processing for the company.• Prepare supplier payments for Managing Director’s approval.• Stamp, scan, and pass subcontractor invoices to Quantity Surveyors.• Process subcontractor payments (BACS & Cheques).• Review and update subcontractor insurance details.• Enter plant transfers into the Eque2 Construction software.• Produce a schedule of rebates, generate invoices, and manage collections.• Manage council tax obligations for properties, ensuring cancellations post-sale.• Analyse utility bills and manage renewals.• Input all timesheets and process group invoices.• Handle bank reconciliations for K&C Property North Wales and update rent cards.• Perform daily bank reconciliations for SPVs.• Adhere to the Accounts Task Timetable.• Perform daily backups on Sage Line 50.• Log incoming post.
Required Skills & Qualifications:• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts administration.• Proficient in using Sage Line 50 and Eque2 Construction software or similar.• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.• Excellent communication skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
