Position:Support Worker
Location:Prestatyn
Hours:2 Nights per Week (Start Time Negotiable, Typically 5 PM - 11 AM)
Salary:£11.88 per hour plus an additional £80 for hours worked between 11 PM - 7 AM

CRS are working with a dedicated respite care facility providing high-quality care and support to individuals who need temporary relief from their usual caregiving responsibilities. Their team is committed to ensuring our service users receive compassionate, professional, and personalised care during their stay.

Job Description:
We are currently seeking a compassionate and reliable Respite Support worker to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for looking after an average of four service users per shift. Your duties will include assisting with personal care, administering medication, providing companionship, and ensuring the safety and well-being of our service users throughout the night.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist service users with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Administer medication and maintain accurate records
  • Provide companionship and emotional support
  • Assist with mobility and transfers
  • Monitor and ensure the safety and comfort of service users
  • Perform light housekeeping duties as required
  • Communicate effectively with service users, their families, and other healthcare professionals
  • Respond promptly to emergencies and provide first aid if necessary

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar care role is preferred but not essential
  • A compassionate and empathetic nature
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work 2 nights a week with negotiable start times, typically around 5 PM to 11 AM
  • A valid DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
