Jackson Hogg are delighted to be supporting a software automation business on the appointment of a Process Control Systems Engineer.The work will be varied and every project a new and exciting opportunity to use and develop different skills, both at a technical level and at a softer project execution interpersonal level.

You will be involved in the design and implementation of a wide range of systems to improve the performance of energy-related industries including control systems, energy management systems, smart grid technologies, renewable energy integration systems, and plant management information systems to name but a few.

Essential Skills:

  • Detailed experience of the full project life cycle from system specification through design, development, testing (FAT/SAT etc) and on-site commissioning
  • Development & delivery of detailed design/specification documentation
  • Hands on delivery experience of PLC, HMI and SCADA systems
  • Digital Sub-station automation (IEC 61850)
  • Knowledge of general IT/OT Technologies and development methodologies
  • A good appreciation of Control panels, electrical installation and Instrumentation solutions
  • A Degree or HND/HNC in Electrical / Electronic Engineering, Control Systems or relevant discipline
  • Ability to estimating time and costs for common tasks
  • Eligible for security clearance checks for access to client sites.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with Rockwell, Siemens, CopaData, Emerson (others welcomed)
  • DCS delivery experience
  • Historian experience
  • OT Cyber Security
  • Networks/Firewalls
  • Functional Safety (TUV)
  • Industrial Protocol Knowledge (OPC, Profinet, Modbus, etc)
