The Role

Reporting Structure

The successful candidate will report to the Managing Partner.

The role will not have any staff reports initially.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the Managing Partner, you will be responsible for:
  • Managing a significant portfolio of clients including book keeping, accounts preparation, VAT return and liaising with clients.
  • Preparing client accounts, notes and queries for a variety of sole trader, partnerships and limited companies. Managing Partner will finalise accounts with client and advise on adjustments.
  • Preparing basic personal and corporate tax computations and returns.
  • VAT returns.
  • Supporting the smooth running of the office.

The Candidate

Experience Required

  • Substantial experience of working within an Accountancy Practice preparing client accounts, bookkeeping and VAT is essential.
  • Proficiency with regard to using accounting systems is essential. Extensive experience of Quick books, Xero, Excel and Sage Accounts would be ideal.
  • Experience of CIS would be useful.
  • You may be professionally qualified but your experience and personal qualities are far more important than professional qualifications.
  • Qualified by experience candidates and people who have stopped studying are welcomed. We don’t have the bandwidth to support an active studier.
