Company Details and Job Overview:

Kenton Black Finance are exclusively supporting a fast-growth business with a global reach, as they look to recruit a Financial Controller. This position will be appointed on a fixed term contract initially, for a period of 12 months however there is a strong potential of this role becoming permanent after this time.

This PE backed business has grown rapidly, more than doubling in each of the last 3 years, with further growth forecasted. Senior leadership are open to new ideas and the new FC will have much opportunity to add value and drive improvements where necessary.

Offices are within a commutable distance from Preston, Blackpool/Fylde and Lancaster (within 20-30 minute drive).

Key Benefits/ Rewards on Offer:

Salary of £60,000 - £65,000 depending on experience
Bonus scheme up to 5% of salary
Full time role of 37.5 hours, the team typically work compressed hours Monday - Thursday to allow for a 12pm finish each Friday
Office based role Monday Thursday, working from home on a Friday

Your New Role as Financial Controller:

As Financial Controller, you will report into the CFO and work closely alongside the CEO and the rest of the team. The role includes a variety of hands on accounting duties whilst providing valuable strategic support to drive continued growth.

Duties will include:

Leading a team of 3 x Finance Assistants
Preparation of monthly management accounts including commentary and analysis
Preparation of board reports
Consolidation of subsidiaries
Weekly reporting of turnover and gross profit
Budgeting and cash flow reporting
Responsibility for PAYE, VAT and Corporation Tax for UK and EU entities, liaising with relevant external stakeholders as required
Review existing systems and processes and identify areas for improvements, implementing these where appropriate

Experience & Qualifications Required to Apply:

The ideal candidate will be CIMA/ACA/ACCA qualified, proven in a leadership role within finance. Involved in the detail of accounting, the new FC must also demonstrate ability to refine processes and support decision making.
A start date before November is required, but an immediate start is available.
