We are seeking a CIMA-qualified Financial Controller with food industry experience to oversee the financial management of our UK operations. This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned finance professional to play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s financial strategy and ensuring robust financial control.
Key Responsibilities

Oversee all aspects of financial management, reporting, and control across the UK operations.

Prepare and present monthly management accounts, forecasts, and financial statements to senior leadership.

Lead budgeting and financial planning processes, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

Maintain strong financial controls, governance, and compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements.

Analyse financial performance, identifying risks, opportunities, and areas for cost savings.

Manage cash flow, working capital, and investment planning to support business growth.

Ensure timely and accurate tax, VAT, and regulatory filings.

Work closely with operational teams to provide financial insights and drive efficiencies.

Lead and develop the finance team, ensuring best practices and continuous improvement.

Liaise with external auditors, banks, and key stakeholders.
?? CIMA-qualified (or equivalent ACA/ACCA) with a strong financial background.?? Proven experience as a Financial Controller in a fast-paced business environment.?? Food industry experience is essential, with a deep understanding of sector-specific challenges.?? Strong technical accounting knowledge, including UK GAAP, IFRS, and regulatory compliance.?? Proficiency in financial planning, forecasting, and analysis.?? Excellent leadership skills with experience in team management and development.?? Highly analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex financial data.?? Experience working in a high-turnover business (£50m+ preferred).?? Proficient in financial systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems) and advanced Excel skills.?? Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage at all levels of the organisation.
