My client is looking for an all round strong Financial Controller who is keen to progress into a Finance Director role. You will ideally have manufacturing/ construction experience, be used to working in an SME, and being hands on with the team.

Description

  • Financial Strategy & Planning - Develop and implement financial strategies, budgeting, and forecasting to support business growth.
  • Financial Reporting & Compliance - Ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Cost Control & Profitability Analysis - Monitor expenses, analyse cost structures, and identify opportunities to improve financial performance.
  • Risk Management & Internal Controls - Establish and maintain strong internal controls to mitigate financial risks.
  • Cash Flow & Working Capital Management - Oversee cash flow, manage working capital, and ensure financial stability.
  • Business Partnering - Collaborate with senior management and operational teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
  • Audit & Tax Compliance - Coordinate with external auditors, manage tax filings, and ensure adherence to financial policies.
  • Team Leadership & Development - Manage and mentor finance teams, fostering professional growth and efficiency.

Profile

  • Qualified or QBE accountant
  • Manufacturing or construction experience
  • Strong systems knowledge, ideally Sage
  • Ambition to grow and develop into an FD role
  • Team management & leadership experience

Job Offer

  • Salary circa £60,000-£80,000 dependent on experience
  • Flexible start & finish times
  • Ideally this will be 100% office based
  • Quick succession to FD role
