Led by an impressive senior management team of industry experts they are a leading brand in their sector with excellent customer service, environmental sustainability and innovative suppliers playing a vital role in their continued success.

A new vacancy has now arisen for a Financial Controller to join the team as part of their succession planning process for the future. Reporting into the Finance Director this position will be integral to managing financial operations, providing critical insight to strategic decision making and ensuring compliance with regulations. The ideal candidate for this role must be CIMA / ACCA or ACA qualified with proven experience of financial management and reporting, strong technical accounting skills and the ability to influence and engage stakeholders across the business.

Key responsibilities:

- Production of the monthly management accounts and board pack

- Prepare KPI reports for senior leadership and department heads - Lead the preparation of annual and half-year financial reports

- Cash flow forecasting to ensure effective working capital management

- Provide projections and financial models to support scenario/CAPEX planning

- Treasury, currency risk management and hedging

- Prepare draft tax computations and oversee HMRC compliance

- Support annual budget preparation and project appraisal

- Provide financial analysis to support strategic objectives

- Support new initiatives and provide post implementation reporting

Excellent analytical skills are required for this role with strong experience of budgeting, forecasting and financial planning, you must therefore have a good level of confidence with business management systems, integrated IT packages and Excel. Familiarity with HMRC regulations, and compliance (VAT, corporation tax etc.) will be important alongside knowledge of financial reporting standards e.g. IFRS or GAAP.
