Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Support and input into development and maintenance of employment tax policy
  • Develop knowledge of the business areas and deliver best in-class tax business partnering, with key stakeholders including but not limited to HR, Reward, Global Mobility, Legal, Company Secretarial, Employee Relations, Procurement and Shared Services
  • Provide advice to the business on a wide range of technical employment tax matters
  • Research and support tax advisors on delivery of a range of tax advice and undertake ad hoc projects across the team
  • Review & monitor employment tax compliance filing and payment obligations
  • Deliver employment tax process improvements, leveraging technology and data solutions
  • Deliver tax technical training to the business
  • Proactive engagement on employment tax matters with HMRC and other tax authorities as required
  • Support the Senior Accounting Officer certification for employment taxes
  • Proactively monitor the external environment for regulatory changes, and interpret and communicate implications for the group
  • Support in establish lobbying positions on employment tax matters

Profile

The successful candidate will have/be:

  • Experience of working either in an in-house tax team, a function with tax responsibility OR in a professional tax services firm
  • Experience of employment tax compliance filings and payment requirements
  • Subject matter tax technical expertise to advice on (including but not limited to): employment taxes, expatriate & international employment taxes, off-payroll working arrangements, social security taxes, share plans and corporate criminal offence
  • Chartered tax qualification or willing to work towards would be desirable
