Are you an ambitious, forward-thinking Management Accountant looking for a role in a successful and dynamic company?

Our client, based in Preston, is looking for an experienced individual to join them in this newly created position and become a valued member of this family firm which is looking to grow over the coming years.

You will be responsible for efficiently producing monthly management reports and the associated analysis. This will involve working closely with SLT and help to establish working processes to get a clear vision of the projected growth of the business. You’ll need to have excellent communication skills to help facilitate this process.

Responsibilities as Management Accountant will include:

  • Provide accurate monthly financial information pack with commentary for the Board.
  • Manage the cashflow forecast and daily banking, including timely establishing a timely payment schedule.
  • Accruals/Prepayments
  • Develop good relationships with purchasing and suppliers
  • Monitor the WIP and ongoing costs and pricing for customers/contracts.
  • Managing stock accuracy reporting, inventory control and purchasing processes
  • Leading payroll processing for all staff members
  • Providing comprehensive cost analysis for all expenditure across the business

Our client is happy to consider candidates form a variety of backgrounds, but you must have SME and experience and be able to get involved at all levels of the reporting. You should also have previous experience producing management reports and forecasting in a busy environment. In addition, we are looking for someone with strong interpersonal skills, proven problem-solving abilities, financial awareness and analytical insight. Experience with Sage and strong Excel would be a major plus.
