Bennett & Game are delighted to be partnering a small, multi office Accountancy Practice in Longridge, Preston. They are recruiting for a Senior Accountant to join their growing team. They are offering between £40-50k for this position, as well as 25 days holiday plus bank.
The firm pride themselves as an excellent company to work for, boasting a low staff turnover, with this position becoming available due to retirement. The role is well suited to an experienced accountant, who can hit the ground running. Managing a portfolio of clients, on accounts and tax and overseeing a small team of trainees.
Senior Accountant Job Overview- Client Accounts - Prepare, review and finalise accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies, within a large portfolio across varied industries
- Tax Returns - Oversee the preparation and submission of VAT, corporate, and personal tax returns
- Client Management - Act as the primary point of contact for clients within your portfolio, handling queries, and providing detailed advisory services
- Financial reporting - Prepare management accounts, forecasts, and budgets to assist clients with strategic planning
- Team supervision - Mentor junior staff, review work, and provide training when needed
- ACA or ACCA qualified or part qualified. QBE also considered
- A minimum of 8 years accountancy practice experience
- Experience in accounts and tax prep and review. Managing a portfolio of clients
- Must be able to commute to Longridge office
- No requirement for visa sponsorship
- Excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills
