A fast growth and multi-site business in Preston (PR2) have partnered with Kenton Black Finance exclusively to appoint a new Assistant Accountant. Office based role Mon-Fri, 37.5 hours per week
Flexibility on start/finish times (typically 8am-4pm, 8:30pm-4:30pm or 9am-5pm to suit the individual)

Your New Role as Assistant Accountant:

Reporting into an engaging and personable finance lead, as Assistant Accountant, duties will include:

Management accounts preparation including P&L, balance sheet, commentary and analysis
Balance sheet reconciliations
VAT returns
Posting accruals, prepayments and journals
Assisting with budgeting and forecasting activities
Management of stock movements
Involvement in acquisition integration

Experience & Qualifications Required to Apply:

The ideal candidate will have good grounding knowledge of transactional accounting processes, with exposure to month end management accounting and the desire to further develop skills in this area as longer term progression will be available in this rounded role. Strong systems skills are also required including good Excel ability (pivot tables, VLookups).
