Your new companyI am assisting an ambitious Finance Manager at a rapidly expanding organisation in Preston with the recruitment of an Assistant Accountant. Your responsibilities will include analysing financial data and trends, conducting variance analysis, preparing financial models, and assisting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. You will also be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial reports, compliance with financial regulations, and supporting internal and external audits. Additionally, you will collaborate with other departments to support business initiatives and drive process improvements within the finance function. What you'll need to succeedTo be successful in this role, you will need strong organisational and time-management skills, along with diplomacy, integrity, and reliability. A deep understanding of financial principles and advanced proficiency in Excel and financial software such as Sage are essential. A relevant professional accounting qualification or working towards one is required.
