Our client, a leading authority in the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking a Service Management Governance Lead to join their team in Samlesbury on a contract basis. This role is pivotal within the Air Business Unit, with a focus on IT Service Management, ensuring robust governance and compliance across service delivery frameworks.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing IT service management governance structures and policies
  • Ensuring compliance with industry regulations and internal standards
  • Overseeing service delivery processes to maintain high performance and quality
  • Collaborating with internal teams to align service management with business needs
  • Providing guidance and support on service management best practices
  • Managing risk identification and mitigation strategies within service governance
  • Monitoring and reporting on service management metrics and KPIs
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives within the service management framework


Job Requirements:

  • Experience in IT Service Management
  • Strong knowledge of service governance frameworks
  • Understanding of regulatory compliance within the Defence & Security sector
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Proficiency in developing policies and procedures
  • Ability to analyse and report on performance metrics
  • Problem-solving aptitude and attention to detail
  • Comfortable working in a hybrid environment with onsite presence required 3-4 days per week
