Weights Engineer
As a Weights Engineer / Mass Properties Engineer you will be:
- Managing mass properties for new designs and changes by analysing production drawings, 2D drawings, change authorities, and Catia models.
- Conducting mass property modelling for various design activities.
- Managing mass properties of full aircraft to support final assembly operations.
- Ensuring the accurate upload of mass properties data for in-service fleets.
- Managing mass properties for assets involved in flight testing.
- Performing aircraft and stores weighing activities.
- Developing and improving mass properties toolsets.
Your skills and experience:
- Strong numeracy skills and an understanding of data management.
- Basic knowledge of managing a mass properties system.
- Intermediate Excel skills, including macros, pivot tables, and visual basic.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate across different levels.

The Weights team handles mass properties data across multiple aircraft platforms. Their work includes drawing assessments, mass property modelling, data configuration management, and supporting the physical weighing of aircraft. This team plays a vital role in ensuring flight safety by managing mass properties for both in-service fleets and those involved in flight testing and development activities.
