Position Overview: Our client is seeking a detail-oriented individual to join their team as an Automated Cutting and Stripping Machine Operator. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a fully automated cutting and stripping machine to produce high-quality materials efficiently. The ideal candidate should possess strong numerical and literacy skills, with a keen eye for quality control. While previous experience in a similar role is preferred, it is not essential, as our client is willing to provide training to the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor automated cutting and stripping machine to ensure smooth and efficient operation.
- Set up the machine according to job specifications, including adjusting cutting and stripping parameters as necessary.
- Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet required standards.
- Perform routine maintenance on the machine to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Troubleshoot any issues that may arise during production and take corrective actions as needed.
- Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines at all times to ensure a safe working environment.
- Utilize computer systems for data entry, production tracking, and quality control purposes.
Qualifications:
- Strong computer literacy, including proficiency in basic software applications and the ability to learn new programs quickly.
- Numeracy and literacy skills, with the ability to accurately follow written instructions and measurements.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
- Previous experience operating machinery in a manufacturing or production setting is preferred but not essential.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
Fixed Day shift
7:30 am till 4pm Mon to Thursday
Friday early finish! 7:30am till 1pm
*Good place to work, clean and tidy environment , no hats or hairnets required!!!!
*No heavy lifting.
