A wonderful SEN school in the heart of Preston are seeking a flexible and hard-working cleaner to work before and after school on a part-time, long term basis.

The role will involve undertaking cleaning of designated areas within school premises, working as part of a school cleaning team, who can provide further training if required.

The hours will be 6.30am - 8.30am (can be flexible) and 3.30 - 6pm every term time school day (5.30 on a Friday), on an ongoing long term basis, with opportunities for permanent employment for the right candidate. It is important that you are able to commit to completing both AM and PM shifts on a daily basis.

The school are ideally seeking someone who is a team player, who has worked in an educational environment previously, and understands the requirements and expectations of the school cleaner role.

The role will include, but not be limited to:

- Vacuum cleaning and sweeping floors

- Using appropriate powered equipment

- Cleaning changing rooms, toilets and shower facilities

- Emptying litter bins

- Report damage and low stock to site manager

Cleaning staff are highly valued members of the school staff, and in recent times, the school have promoted cleaners to become trainee teaching assistants.   • Possess good interpersonal skills, be hard-working and able to work under direction and also own initiative.
  • Hold an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks.
