Are you an experienced and motivated Business Operations Manager with a passion for providing excellent service and outcomes? Our client, a leading life assurance company, is looking for a talented individual to join their team as a Business Operations Manager.

Based in Preston, with hybrid working model; up to 38k

The ideal candidate may have a minimum of 5 years' experience in the UK Life and Pensions market along with knowledge of UK legislation relevant to Life and Pensions.

As a key member of their organisation, you will play a crucial role in supporting and managing their new business operation, ensuring compliance and operational effectiveness while ensuring customer, adviser, and platform satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Be the operational support for the new business operation, including handling queries from advisers and platforms and facilitating relationship management meetings.
Identify and implement process improvements within the customer journey with the approval of the relevant governing bodies.
Ensure the correct onboarding process for new platform providers, incorporating due diligence and following procedures.
Maintain and update all marketing and sales aids, ensuring they are catalogued and filed appropriately.
Support adviser training by preparing packs and materials, and potentially delivering training sessions in the future.
Stay updated on regulations and incorporate them into the suite of support materials.
Document and file all procedures to ensure they are up to date and easily accessible.
Manage and liaise with external relationships with platforms.
Pass sales queries to the appropriate advisors and maintain ongoing relationships
Attend service review meetings and assist team in resolving escalations or complaints promptly.
Drive and progress initiatives to develop the overall business proposition, including collaborating with third-party platforms.

Skills and Experience:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with confidence in dealing with external parties.
Exceptional organisational skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Strong stakeholder management skills, working across multiple business areas internally and with third parties and OSPs.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Effective negotiation skills and the ability to influence decision making.
Proven ability to deliver results within tight deadlines and adapt to changing requirements.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
